    South Carolina governor Mark Sanford, whose extramarital affair, after becoming front page news, has threatened his political career (and his marriage), has also now lost his book deal.
  • Weisbach Staffs Up New Agency
    Rob Weisbach has added three employees to his recently launched agency, Rob Weisbach Creative Management. Erin L. Cox, David Groff, and Jake Bauman have joined the fold of Weisbach's firm.
  • Hachette Backs Use of Text-To-Speech
    Hachette issued a statement this morning saying that as long as its authors don't object it has no problem with devices adding text-to-speech functionality. The only exceptions would be for books that fall under its audio program or in special circumstances, like memoir, where the author's voice is crucial to the work.
